Every attendee, students and teachers alike, will need to bring the basics. At all of our facilities, you will be provided a bunk with a mattress and a bathroom with individual shower stalls.

You will need to bring:

• 4 days of clothes, including at least one set for outdoor work. Long pants and long sleeves are advisable.

• Closed toed shoes, hiking boots preferred

• Jacket or sweater, it gets cold at night

• Hat, ball cap, beanie

• sleeping bag and pillow

• Reuseable water bottle

• shower towel

• toiletries including soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, and deodorant.

• phone charger

Please be aware of the weather and pack appropriately, if we are expecting rain, please bring a jacket. If it’s going to be hot, make sure you bring some short sleeves. If it’s going to snow, heavier boots, coats, and sweaters/sweatshirts. Please do NOT plan on walking around wrapped in a blanket.

Not everyone needs to bring their own of everything, but we can’t stress enough that SOMEONE in your team should have these items that can be shared.

• Clip board

• Spiral bound notebook

• Notes about the focus topic

• Pens and pencils

• Laptop computer with Microsoft Powerpoint

• Sun screen

• Bug spray

Teachers, there’s a few things we think you should bring for yourself or for your school:

• Signed waivers for your students

• Your student’s prescription medicines

• Any forestry tools your have. We will have enough to go around, but any extra sets can’t hurt. Please make sure you have labeled the tools as belonging to your school.

• Camp chair

• A book, game, or papers to grade

• A laptop for yourself to work on. Most facilities will have a private wifi network that we can allow teachers to use for official purposes.

• Basic first aid kit

This year, thanks to some generous grant funding, we will be providing a laptop for every team. We tested the new laptops at championship 26 and they seemed to work great, but we are still testing. If you are able, please bring your own laptops, windows OS preferred, to use during presentation work time. Our presentations have to be submitted as either a powerpoint presentation (.pptx) or a .PDF.

We will only be providing one laptop per team, any additional computers you want to use are your responsibility.

Assume we will not have wifi access, as any open network at the venue will be overloaded with everyone trying to connect to it.

If you do not have Microsoft Powerpoint on the computer you want to bring, please reach out ahead of time, Chris may be able to help.

• Weapons of any sort

• Cigarettes/vape, even if you are over 18, they are not allowed at camp

• Lighter/fire starting kit
